About me and my goals

I wanted to start blogging because it just felt right, but I am new at this. So, bear with me as I may make site changes in the future. –

I’ll have pages going into detail about different things to help you get to know me and my purpose.

I married my amazing husband, Michael on April 26th, 2014, and over a decade together, it only gets better. I have a bonus son who is 16 now, 4 fur babies, and I am aunt to lots of kiddos.

Michael is not my “better” half, he is the one that helps make me better. He has been every single thing a husband should be and continues to be supportive, proud, and loving.

I am number 4 of 5 children and come from a blended family. My parents each had a child when they got married. I was probably a little spoiled since I was the only girl in the house most of the time. My sister is 8 years older, and we didn’t see her enough.

I’m an animal lover. People “tolerator” (kidding I love people) and will always fight for the underdog. I will advocate for those who need it, and I am not afraid to put myself in someone else’s business if I see harm being done to a living being.

I have heard I’m hard to get to know, which seems like a conundrum, because I’m an open book, transparent as they come, and honest to a fault.

However, I don’t trust easy, and I do tend to be more on the quiet, reserved side.

I’m a deep thinker, constantly in thought, and my face shows that – but it’s often mistaken as RBF.

I’m actually really kind, warm-hearted, and caring, thanks to the work of the Lord – no kidding. There was a time I was just mean because of the cards I was dealt, the anger that I couldn’t control, and the lack of patience.

I don’t give opinions like I used to, and I like the me I am today so much better.

I prefer the quiet. I choose to be home and rarely like to go out.

My home is my favorite place to be. It’s safe, secure and my husband is there.

My goal in life is to go where the Lord takes me. I am getting a counseling degree and plan to help how I can, who I can and do some of it pro bono. My focus will be on at-risk youth, but I won’t limit myself. I feel like this is a good time for my community to get to know me, connect and hopefully see some of you in the future.
